CAA Pakistan Issues New Instructions for Islamabad Airport Runway Concerns

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) recently released updated guidelines addressing concerns related to the runway at Islamabad Airport. The CAA has identified potential slippage hazards caused by remnants of aircraft tires on Runway 28L, prompting the issuance of precautionary measures.

In order to ensure the safety of all aircraft operations, the CAA has instructed pilots to exercise utmost caution during both landing and take-off on Runway No. 28L. These instructions aim to mitigate any potential risks associated with the runway conditions.

To effectively address this matter, the CAA has issued a notice containing a set of precautionary instructions that will be in effect for a period of ten days, starting from May 18 and continuing until May 28. This timeframe allows sufficient time for necessary maintenance and precautionary measures to be taken to address the slippage concerns.

By implementing these instructions, the CAA aims to enhance the safety and security of operations at Islamabad Airport. The primary objective is to minimize any risks posed by remnants of aircraft tires on Runway 28L, thereby ensuring smooth and secure take-offs and landings for all aircraft utilizing the runway during the specified period.

The CAA emphasizes the importance of strict adherence to the provided guidelines and urges all pilots to be vigilant and exercise caution while operating on Runway No. 28L at Islamabad Airport. These measures are being taken as part of the CAA's commitment to prioritizing safety and maintaining high standards in aviation operations.

Passengers and stakeholders are encouraged to stay informed about any updates or changes regarding the precautionary instructions through official channels. The CAA will closely monitor the situation and take necessary steps to address any potential safety concerns associated with the runway conditions at Islamabad Airport.
